IU East welcomes Class of 2014 as newest Red Wolves

June 16, 2010 |

Indiana University East is welcoming its newest group of freshman to campus. New Student Orientations for the incoming Class of 2014 begin today. For new freshmen, this program is the first step to starting their college career.

During orientation, students and their families are provided with assistance to transition from high school to college.  Students attend information sessions, which include:  Campus Life, a student panel, information technology, creating their student ID Wolf Card and meeting with their advisor. IU East encourages parents to accompany their newly enrolled college student to get information about financial aid, campus security and meet IU East deans.

Throughout the day, new students meet current IU East students, faculty and staff. In the afternoon, a Campus Resource Fair connects students to academic counselors, academic support services, the Honors Program, and other campus programs.

New Student Orientation guests are also welcome to tour the campus or walk their academic schedule in order to find their classrooms on campus.

Classes for the fall 2010 semester begin Monday, August 30. Enrollment for fall is going on now. For more information on New Student Orientation or to apply, contact the Office of Admissions at (765) 973-8208.
