November 23, 2010 |

Indiana University East raised $10,000 during its 2010 Scholarship Luncheon held November 16 to benefit the general scholarship fund.

Funding for scholarships is critical to supporting student access to education and enhancing opportunities for success. IU East has long awarded scholarships to both incoming and continuing students in recognition of their academic achievement, leadership and community service. The generosity of IU East’s friends and alumni has made it possible to help more students than ever before this academic year, with over $450,000 in scholarships awarded.

IU East pays tribute to those who have donated to numerous scholarships each year during the Scholarship Luncheon.

This year’s speaker was Gerry A. Dick, president and managing editor for Grow Indiana Media Ventures, LLC, and the host of “Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick”, Indiana’s most watched local business television program. Each attendee at this year’s luncheon received a complimentary book, The Bill Cook Story – Ready, Fire, Aim.

Sponsors for this year’s event were Ramsey, Rodefeld, Kassens & North, LLP, Milestone Contractors, First Bank Richmond, and Mound Printing.
