The Indiana University East Alumni Association invites members of the community and other interested individuals to submit nominations for the Indiana University East Alumni Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes and celebrates the outstanding alumni of IU East.
Inductees to the Hall of Fame are alumni who have typified the IU East tradition of excellence and brought credit to the campus through their personal accomplishments, professional achievement and leadership and humanitarian service and citizenship.
IU East Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized at the Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner on Friday, November 6, at Forest Hills Country Club, 2169 S. 23rd St., Richmond, Ind.
“As our alumni numbers continue to grow, we are always looking for ways to recognize the exceptional efforts of those serving their communities or organizations,” said Terry Wiesehan, director of Alumni Relations and Campus Events at IU East. “By inducting alumni into the Hall of Fame, we want to recognize those efforts and show them how proud we are of them to make their communities better for themselves and for future generations.”
The first two IU East Alumni Hall of Fame members, Jeff Cappa and Kate Hogg, both of Richmond, were inducted in fall 2014. Previously, IU East recognized the special achievements of alumni through its Distinguished Alumni Award. All past Distinguished Alumni were automatically inducted into the Hall of Fame as charter members. For a list of previous Distinguished Alumni, visit iue.edu/alumni/awards/dist_alumni.php.
Nominations may be submitted online at iue.edu/alumni /halloffame by Friday, October 2. Selections will be made by committee the week of October 5.
