The Academy for Cultivating Talent is seeking applications for the 2014-2015 program year. The focus for the year is on next generation leaders – individuals who are poised to have greater influence in their organizations, institutions, or communities. This program, limited to 30 participants, will emphasize the unique qualities of and opportunities for next generation leaders. Participants will expand knowledge and skills in order to:
Fredricka Joyner, director of the IU East Center for Leadership Development said, “We are very excited to partner with the United Way of Whitewater Valley for this year’s program. The program will build the capacity of individuals who are making a difference in the not-for-profit arena. This is a wonderful collaboration,” Joyner said. “Working together we can offer locally the kind of development that most individuals in the not-for-profit sector never have the opportunity to attend.”
Indiana University East Academy for Cultivating Talent completed its first program “Carry It Forward: Creating Networks and Pipelines for Women Leaders,” on May 15. The program focused on creating pipelines for women to leadership positions in business and civic engagement and work with professional women in mid-level or senior-level positions who are poised to make a difference in their organization and community.
