Indiana University East students who studied abroad in Argentina this past May as part of a civilization and culture online course will exhibit their projects at the university’s Room 912, located at 912 E. Main Street in Richmond, Ind. The exhibit will be on display from September 13 to October 15 as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Senior Capstone Art Exhibition opens at Room 912
Richmond, Ind. – The Senior Capstone Art Exhibition, which includes works by nine Indiana University East seniors, will be on display in the Room 912 Gallery, located at 912 E. Main Street in Richmond. An opening reception is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. May 2 at Room 912.
Visiting artist to provide lecture
The Fine Arts Program at Indiana University East will host visiting artist Erin Holscher Almazan for a lecture at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, April 18. The lecture will be held at IU East’s Room 912, located at at 912 E. Main Street, in Richmond, Ind.
The Art Club at Indiana University East is holding its first Student Art Sale now through April 24. The sale includes paintings of various media and scale, drawings, and glazed functional ceramic ware.

Indiana University East Whitewater Valley Annual Art Competition (WVAAC) Top Ten Award and Purchase Award recipients have their work on display now through December 6 in The Gallery and Community Room, located in Whitewater Hall.
Indiana University East is accepting art entries September 23-27 for the 2013 Whitewater Valley Annual Art Competition (WVAAC). The competition will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, in Whitewater Hall. Prior to the judging, there will be a juror presentation at 11:30 a.m. in Tom Raper Hall, room 124.
Indiana University East will take possession of 912 E. Main, located in downtown Richmond, on July 1, 2013. The space will house an art gallery, individual studios for faculty and students, and a classroom. It is slated to open to the public late fall semester 2013.
IU East Student Showcase
Indiana University East and Purdue University College of Technology in Richmond students now have their work on display in the Meijer Artway through Friday, May 10. Students exhibiting work were in fine arts classes at IU East during the fall 2012 and spring 2013 semesters.
