IU East opened the Student Events and Activities Center this fall. It is the fifth building on campus.

For Indiana University East the past year has brought many celebrations, accomplishments and memorable moments. The campus experienced a record number of graduates who joined an alumni family now numbering over 9,000, celebrated the grand opening of the Student Events and Activities Center, and remembered the legacy of Chancellor Emeritus David Fulton who passed away.

IU East Chancellor Cruz-Uribe to carry Indiana Bicentennial Torch this Sunday

Indiana University East Chancellor Kathy Cruz-Uribe will participate in the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay this Sunday, September 25. Chancellor Cruz-Uribe will accept the torch at approximately 12:40 p.m. and carry it from the campus entrance on U.S. 27 to Reid Health.

As a candidate for Indiana University East’s next chancellor in January 2013, Kathy Cruz-Uribe heard many topics that were important to faculty, staff and students. One of those topics to capture her attention was the construction of the campus’ fifth building, the Student Events and Activities Center.
