Senior Capstone Art Exhibition opens at Room 912
Richmond, Ind. – The Senior Capstone Art Exhibition, which includes works by nine Indiana University East seniors, will be on display in the Room 912 Gallery, located at 912 E. Main Street in Richmond. An opening reception is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. May 2 at Room 912.

The Indiana University East School of Business and Economics Center for Leadership Development will host its Spring Leadership Forum beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, in Whitewater Hall, Vivian Auditorium. The presentation is “BOOST 2.0: From Vision to Vitality Building on Our Strengths Together.”
“This region is rich with what I call points of positive potential. The Spring Leadership Forum provides a great opportunity for individuals from all facets of the community to come together and share in a conversation about how we can give the community a BOOST by building on our strengths together,” said Fredricka Joyner, associate professor of business administration and organization behavior at IU East.
The Indiana University East Alumni Association Legislative Forum will be held from 8-9 a.m. on Friday, April 4, in the Springwood Hall Graf Center. The forum is an opportunity for the community to have an in-person discussion with Senator Allen Paul and Representatives Tom Saunders and Dick Hamm.
The Indiana University East Center for Leadership Development will host a Management Series workshop on Facilitating Meetings for Results from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, February 11, in the Whitewater Hall Community Room. Registration for the workshop is available online at iue.edu/leadership.
Indiana University East shared its community-focused projects in the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge Inaugural Report published by the U.S. Department of Education. The report highlights participating institutions’ activities as part of President Barack Obama’s national initiative that began in 2011 with the goal of providing or expanding opportunities for students to participate in community service with a component of interfaith engagement.
Indiana University East will welcome Barbara Cross, survivor of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, Ala., 1963, as this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. speaker. Cross will speak at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, in the Whitewater Hall Community Room.
