IU East and Starr-Gennett Foundation organize Community Writing Marathon to share creative ideas

Indiana University East will partner with the Starr-Gennett Foundation to host a Community Writing Marathon during the annual Walk of Fame weekend. The event will take place from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, in the Gorge. It is open to participants of all ages; however, participants younger than 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

One Book, Many Voices Project to inspire the community and campus

Indiana University East will launch the inaugural “One Book, Many Voices” project in August 2012.  The project mission is to foster a campus and community discussion about themes and ideas inspired by a common text in an effort to develop camaraderie, inform knowledge, and inspire action towards positive civic engagement and improvement.

Indiana University East is hosting its first Interfaith Institute from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 20 in Vivian Auditorium, located in Whitewater Hall.

IU East provides free teaching materials through Indiana Department of Education in-kind award

The Indiana University East Center for Economic Education has received a $15,000 in-kind award from the Indiana Department of Education that will allow K-12 teachers in nine counties free access to educational curriculum materials. The Center for Economic Education is a part of the School of Business and Economics.

Main St. in Richmond. This event is sponsored by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Mindful Explorations, courtesy of the William H. and Jean R. Reller Endowment.
