This spring, Indiana University East is continuing to see enrollment increases over last spring across key areas including credit hours taken, new transfer students, transfers from Ivy Tech Community College in Richmond, new first-year students, and online courses enrollments. This represents the 18th consecutive term (including summers) with growth in campus credit hours over the previous year.
Indiana University East is no longer the smallest Indiana University regional campus in terms of credit hours. IU East surpassed IU Kokomo in the number of credit hours taken by students enrolled in the spring 2010 semester.
Credit hours taught for the fall 2007 semester at Indiana University East have increased 3.9 percent compared to the same period last year, according to unofficial enrollment figures. The number of students enrolled also increased by a full percentage point.
