In the summer last year, the Indiana University East Business and Economic Research Center (the BERC), the Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County (the EDC) and the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce (the chamber) partnered together to research the business climate and related business needs of the county.
Robert Mulligan, Ph.D., will join the Indiana University East School of Business and Economics as the new dean beginning July 1, 2016.
Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Mary Blakefield said, “Bob Mulligan will be a fine addition to IU East. He has a wide variety of skills and experiences that will help the School of Business and Economics position itself for the future. He brings a depth of knowledge in areas such as accreditation, business relations and graduate education. He will represent IU East well in Richmond and in the region.”
Area business leaders and the community are invited to attend the IU Business Outlook Panel from 7-9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, at Indiana University East in Whitewater Hall. The IU Business Outlook Panel is presented by the IU East Alumni Association and the IU East School of Business and Economics.

Rebecca Clemons, assistant professor of business administration and operations management, received her D.B.A. from Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University. She received M.S. in Department of Applied Statistics and Operations Research and her B.A. in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Venus Williams is officially an alumna of Indiana University East.
Williams was presented with her diploma on August 14 at IU East, located in Richmond, Ind. Williams, who earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, completed her last online courses at IU East this summer and was able make her first visit to campus as she traveled to the Western Southern Open (WSO) August 15-23.
The Indiana University East Center for Leadership Development’s 2015 Spring Leadership Forum will be presented by Courtney Martin an author, blogger and speaker. She will present “Next Generation Leaders.”
