Former alumni director establishes scholarship to support IU East students

Bette Davenport, of Richmond, Indiana, knows first-hand the impact scholarships can have for students completing a degree. In recognition of Indiana University East’s mission and to encourage others to give, she is making a $25,000 gift to establish the Bette G. Davenport Alumni Scholarship.

IU East professor is first to lead IUAA trip abroad

Professor of History Gene Cruz-Uribe will lead a trip, “Legends of the Nile,” to Egypt March 15-25, 2017. The trip is offered through the Indiana University Alumni Association’s (IUAA) Travel IU program. Cruz-Uribe, an Egyptologist, is the first IU East faculty member to serve as a travel director for a trip abroad with the IUAA.
