Indiana University East will partner with the Starr-Gennett Foundation to host a Community Writing Marathon during the annual Walk of Fame weekend. The event will take place from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, in the Gorge. It is open to participants of all ages; however, participants younger than 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
The Gallery at Indiana University East will host an exhibit by artist and teacher Anita Giddings, an explorer of between the known and the unknown in the natural world. “Free Fall” is on exhibit from August 27 to September 21.
Indiana University East will launch the inaugural “One Book, Many Voices” project in August 2012. The project mission is to foster a campus and community discussion about themes and ideas inspired by a common text in an effort to develop camaraderie, inform knowledge, and inspire action towards positive civic engagement and improvement.
