Since IU East was established in 1971, the Lingles have supported the campus. Today, they continue to be a part of IU East by providing a $700,000 gift to the new Student Events and Activities Center.

IU East Center for Leadership Development to partner with the United Way of Whitewater Valley for ACT program

Indiana University East Center for Leadership Development and the United Way of Whitewater Valley will partner to provide this year’s Academy for Cultivating Talent (ACT) program.

Fredricka Joyner, director of the IU East Center for Leadership Development said, “We are very excited to partner with the United Way of Whitewater Valley for this year’s program. The program will build the capacity of individuals who are making a difference in the not-for-profit arena. This is a wonderful collaboration,” Joyner said.  “Working together we can offer locally the kind of development that most individuals in the not-for-profit sector never have the opportunity to attend.”

IU East and Morrisson-Reeves Public Library collaborate for “One Book, Many Voices” Storytelling Series

Indiana University East and Morrisson-Reeves Public Library are proud to announce a storytelling series featuring award-winning actor, writer, and storyteller Jennie Kiffmeyer. Kiffmeyer will discuss the storytelling process and her one-woman show, Rivertown Dispatch, at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 24, in the Community Room, located in Whitewater Hall at IU East. Kiffmeyer will then perform Rivertown Dispatch at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, at the Morrisson-Reeves Public Library. Both events are free and open to the general public; no registration is required.
