Several Indiana University East School of Nursing students were able to put practice into experience as Reid Hospital & Health Care Services moved to its new hospital. The hospital made the move on Wednesday, September 10. IU East and the new Reid have neighboring campuses on Chester Boulevard and Reid Parkway in Richmond, Ind.
It breathes. It talks. It does everything a human being can do but more importantly, the Nursing Kelly manikin simulator is teaching students in the Indiana University East School of Nursing program how to deal with and treat real-life situations.
The pinning ceremony for Indiana University East nursing graduates will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9. The annual ceremony for nursing students will be held at the Central United Methodist Church, located at 1425 E. Main Street in Richmond.
More than 300 students will have their degrees conferred at the Indiana University East Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 9. Commencement begins at 6 p.m. in the Tiernan Center at Richmond High School.
Karen Clark, dean of Nursing at Indiana University East, has been named as a fellow for the Mid-America Public Health Leadership Institute. This fellowship is designed to promote organizational, professional and personal leadership skill development. MARPHLI fellows develop greater effectiveness in carrying out the core public health functions of assessment, policy development and assurance not only within their agencies, but also throughout the wider public health system in their community. This year-long institute also focuses on addressing cutting edge public health issues.
Indiana University East is inviting area high school students and anyone who may be interested in exploring nursing as a career, to visit the IU East campus for a special Nursing Campus Day on Thursday, October 25.
(Richmond, Ind.) A dedication ceremony for the Quigg Family Foundation Nursing Laboratory and the Reid Hospital & Health Care Services Simulation Lab will be held August 24. The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. and be held in Hayes Hall on the patio.
