The Office of Academic Affairs and the Center for Teaching and Learning congratulates Jamie Buffington-Adams, assistant dean for the School of Education and assistant professor, for earning a Quality Matters Certification for her online course, Education of the Socially and Emotionally Disturbed (EDUC-K343). Her course is the first at Indiana University East to earn official Quality Matters certification.
Stephanie Whitehead has been appointed the new director of the Center for Teaching and Learning.
As director, Whitehead will provide leadership in best teaching practices to support effective student learning for all modes of instructional delivery. She will work with and supervise the CTL staff in developing and delivering faculty development opportunities for both full-time and adjunct faculty and teaching staff about best practices related to pedagogy, learning and assessment.
The next Community Engagement Series will be presented by School of Humanities and Social Sciences faculty, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice Mengie Parker and Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Stephanie Whitehead.
