Writer and educator, Amada Irma Pérez, will speak about her writing, involvement with the National Writing Project (www.nwp.org), and connections between teaching and learning. Pérez is the award-winning author of several children’s books including My Diary from Here to There (Mi diario de aquí hasta allá and My Very Own Room (Mi propio cuartito).

This program is part of a partnership with Amigo’s and community-wide celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
