A free public screening of the award-winning documentary film First Generation will be held for area students, families and community members from 6 to 8 p.m. at IU East, Vivian Auditorium, 2325 Chester Blvd., Richmond, IN 47374. First Generation tells the story of four high school students who set out to become the first members of their families to earn a college degree. Learn more at FirstGenerationFilm.com.
Following the First Generation screening, attendees will be given the opportunity to discuss their reactions to the film, share resources for students and families, and consider next steps the community can take to increase college completion and student success.
