If you are interested in starting or improving your business career, IU East in Lawrenceburg can prepare you for success. You'll study with business faculty members who are experts in different specialties, as you learn the principles and practices of business in a dynamic global environment.

IU East offers in Lawrenceburg a degree completion program in Business Administration, consisting of 42 credit hours offered over three academic terms / one calendar year. This junior / senior level program accommodates graduates of IvyTech and other community colleges who have completed general education and basic prerequisite courses for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

The program presumes that students will have met the general education requirements of the IU East School of Business and Economics prior to starting the completion program. If you haven't completed your general requirements, a customized plan of study can be developed for you.

The Lawrenceburg program is organized by cohort. You will begin and finish with the same group of 24 students. Class is in session from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays with professors specifically chosen, in addition to academic preparation, for their skill in delivering instruction to working adults.

Major Projects

Students will complete two year-long projects: a business plan and a portfolio. The business plan is developed by a team of students utilizing structured activities in each course. A professional presentation is made during the last course.

The portfolio is a year-long project integrating work experience and reflection from work, school and life. Structured activities create information for personal reflection and expression.
