Requesting a Copy of your IU Transcript

Official transcripts are available from the Office of Student Records (Whitewater Hall, Rm. 116). Each student receives one free certified copy of his or her transcript upon graduation (mailed 4-6 weeks after the degree is conferred). Additional copies are available at a cost of $7 each. You can request a copy of your academic transcript either in person, via the mail, or by fax.

In Person

Visit the Office of the Student Records (WZ 116), fill-out a Transcript Request Form, and pay the Bursar ($7.00 per transcript). While most transcript requests can be processed while you wait, you should always allow one working day.

Mail or FAX

Print out the online Transcript Request Form, fill it out, then sign and date it. Be sure to include the following information:

Mailed Requests:

Please note:

While Indiana University East will accept a faxed transcript request, we will not fax transcripts to other institutions or agencies. Don't forget that all faxed and/or mailed requests must include your signature and be dated.

If you need to have your Indiana University transcript faxed somewhere, please call the IU Bloomington Campus Transcript Information Line at (812) 855-7505. The minimum charge for this rush service is $22. Please note that transcript fees are subject to change by action of the Trustees of Indiana University on July 1 of each year.

View Your Transcript Online

Use OneStart, the university's web-based student information service, to view your IU academic transcript. In order to view your transcript online, you must be a current student with a valid network username and password.

Past-Due Financial Accounts

The Office of the Bursar (Student Accounts) is responsible for the collection of university financial obligations. An account that is past due is "encumbered" by the Office of the Bursar. If your account is encumbered, you will NOT be able to obtain copies of your transcript.
