Tom Thomas (1945-2009) was an associate professor of Fine Arts at Indiana University East. He taught Fine Arts at IU East for over 30 years, and originated the Whitewater Valley Annual Art Competition.

His own biomorphical and lyrical abstracts are in galleries in California, New York, Indiana and Florida. Tom’s works have been included in the first and second editions of Contemporary American Painting, and magazines including Golf Shores, End, Foyer, Naples Illustrated, and Florida Design.

You are cordially invited to a special tribute to Tom Thomas (1945-2009) Thursday, January 28, at 5:30 p.m. Vivian Auditorium at Indiana University East.

IU East will host the tribute to honor Tom's immense impact on the campus and its students. The program will include guest speakers and a video tribute. A reception will immediately follow in the Meijer Artway in Whitewater Hall.
