The IU East Testing Center--a wise choice!
Welcome to the IU East Testing Center. We look forward to offering a warm and secure environment for students to take their exams. The Testing Center currently has nine computer workstations with Dell computers, and 17 traditional desk carrels.
ALL EXAMS REQUIRE A CURRENT FORM OF PICTURE IDENTIFICATION. Acceptable forms of identification include driver's license, passport, school ID, which is current and shows the examinees first and last name.

Guests may wait in the outer office or the lobby of the University College office while students are testing.
We provide services to faculty, students, and staff for the following types of tests:
- Compass Placement: The (Compass Test) Computer-Adapted Placement Assessment & Support Services is given on computer and only for math. It does not require any prior computer experience to be able to complete the test and there will be a proctor with you if you should have questions. The typical time needed to complete the exam is one hour or less.
- Correspondence: NOTE: The IU East Testing Center DOES NOT provide the return postage paid envelope.
- Final exams Final Exam Slots are prepared for faculty who are planning on using the Testing Center. The Testing Center provides services to online faculty. Mid-term and final exams are only offered in the fall and spring semesters.
- Make-up exams: Available for all IU East students/faculty members testing needs. We want to accommodate as many full and part-time IU East faculty as possible.
- ACT Residual Testing: If you have not taken the ACT Test and are considering attending IU East, you can take the ACT residual exam with our center.
- Disability Testing: The Testing Center readily provides special test accommodations for all students who qualify for non-standard test administrations. To make sure you qualify for these administrations, please contact Traci Taylor at Student Support Services Whitewater Hall WZ 116A.
Students seeking accommodations are responsible for making the initial, tentative appointment including communicating to the faculty regarding arrangements. Contact the Testing Center early in the semester.
- FACULTY PLEASE SEE "TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS FORM" under Resouces Menu.
- Test Schedule Form: This form is for students who need accomodations. For each test, you will need to fill out this form and either email it or drop it off to the Testing Coordinator at least 48 hours prior to your examination.
- Earplugs and ear protectors are recommended.
- ICN Tests: The Testing Center offers Indiana College Network tests to students. Students must contact their professor or instructor and have their exam sent to our center.
STUDENTS: Please leave the Testing Center area once your exam is completed. Do not linger waiting to discuss the completed test with a classmate.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
. TheIU East Testing Center is also bound by privacy restrictions set forth by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This act is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records and states that no student/examine information shall be released to a third party without written consent of the student.

In case of adverse weather, the IU East Testing Center follows the IU East campus weather bulletin for closings.
Encouraging Academic Honesty and Integrity
The IU East Testing Center follows nationwide best practices to reduce cheating. To assist us, please do the following:
• Provide the Testing Center with a roster of the names and ID numbers of students who will take tests.
The Testing Center adheres strictly to rules provided by faculty and testing companies. Faculty, please be sure to state in detail what students are permitted to use on your exams. Thank you!
The Testing Center subscribes to the National College Testing Association.
We participate in the NCTA Consortium of College Testing Centers.
