So while Spring Break was a good one...coming back to vase that was completely ruined kinda put me in a bad mood. For weeks I have been working very hard on a vase in Ceramics. So when we left for break I knew I wouldn't be working on the vase for a week. I was concerned that it might dry out so I wrapped it in moist towels. I made a big mistake of keep the vase too moist and it fell apart...unrepairable. I talked to the instructor, Brandon McFadden, and he reassured me that I could start over and catch up pretty quickly as long as I use the extruder. The extruder is a machine that allows you to make perfect coils and lots of them in order to build your piece. I tried it out last Thursday and got a lot done. Its so much better than making coils by hand. I plan to spend alot of time in the studio tomorrow so I can catch up and possibly come in on Tuesday. I hate being behind! Luckily I still have a few weeks to complete it :DD

If you look at the pictures you'll see my ruined vase, a couple of other students using the extruder to make perfect coils and the beginnings of a new vase that I'm hoping will turn out perfectly. *crosses fingers*
