The capital and largest city in Spain, Madrid is the seat of government, an important financial center and the residence of the Spanish Monarchs. Some of its many treasures include the Palacio Real (Royal Palace), the Reina Sofía (Museum Contemporary Art) which houses Picasso’sGuernica, and the Prado Museum which contains the world’s largest collection of Spanish paintings; among which you will find Goya’s 3rd of May, El Bosco’s Garden of Delights, or the museum’s masterpiece: Velázquez’s Las Meninas.
