Say CHEESE!

02/16/2013

Talk about running on E. This week between class, clinicals, and playing catch up with hours at work, I thinkĀ  I've spend more time inside of a hospital then out. I can't even begin to explain how valuable all of this experience is though. I have done more these last few months then I have over the last few years! Like I've said before, it is all going to pay off here very shortly. I got a big reminder of this when I had to go in for my graduation pictures. It felt so weird getting the pin put on me and wearing my official scrub top for the picture. I can't count how many times I've walked through the halls on the upper floor of Hayes and looked at all the previous classes that graduation before me. I would always think to myself that it was so far away and how awesome it will be to finally have my picture up there with them as well. I get cold chills every time I think about walking across the stage and getting my own nursing school pin and diploma from the dean. I haven't decided if I'm going to cry, give her a hug, scream, or just pass out LOL. Every week there is a reminder of how much closer myself, and my classmates, are to graduation. And for a little comic relief and for anyone looking for a little pat on the back for realizing that you would never do this, check out this picture of a parking job outside of this hospital that I saw as we were taking down the major's fair set up over in Reid. The best part was the guy driving the truck (who has a car in front of him as well in a correct spot and is parked in) saw this from a room in the hospital and thought it was halarious. Him and his family saw the car parked incorrectly from a window in the waiting room and said it would suck to be the guy parked in, and then realized it was his truck in the middle LOL. I'm not sure how the issue got resovled but at least the guy was in a good mood about it and was just happy he got out there in time to take a picture before the person moved their car.
