Students whose cumulative grade point average falls below 2.0-C will be subject to probation/suspension according to the policies of Indiana University East.
IU East Requirements
In addition to meeting School of Continuing Studies requirements for the BGS, students are expected to meet all IU East General Education and Institutional Degree Requirements.
Repeated courses will not count toward the BGS degree unless indicated in the Indiana University East catalog.
In order to be awarded the BGS degree, students must have declared this major for a minimum of 20 credit hours.
Residency will begin the semester following the filing of a Declaration/Change of Major form with the Office of Student Records. Forms filed prior to the end of the drop-add period will apply to that semester.
Credit by Examination
Students who wish to pursue credit by examination should contact the IU East Office of Admissions, Transfer Coordinator.
Students may prepare a portfolio of evidence of competency in a particular area. This will be reviewed by faculty in the corresponding discipline and credit may be awarded if approved. Please contact Carrie Heller, Advisor for Online and Campus Students, School of Continuing Studies, at 765-973-8235 for additional information.
