Exam Jam prepares students for finals week

By Josh Caswell

Students, finals are fast approaching. It is time to really buckle down and ensure your good grades hold and drag those bad grades back from the depths.

Fortunately you are not entirely on your own in this, IU East is once again holding Exam Jam as a fun way to help improve your grades. It will take place Friday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Graf Center.

What is Exam Jam? In short it is a Supplemental Instruction program made possible through sponsorship by Campus Life and the Academic Support Programs. IU East’s site says, “SI (Supplemental Instruction) is an internationally recognized program of students helping students. The program focuses on certain courses that cover a large range of material in a short period of time.”

So, you might be thinking where does the fun come in?

Mary Mahank, Director of Academic Support Programs, says, “While the event includes review sessions for over 30 classes, students who attend a review session will get a door prize ticket, and we have many great door prizes this year. Our theme this semester is Disney. So students can get free food, play games to win prizes, and watch Disney movies.
