Sexual Misconduct Training: Understanding Title IX and the University's Policies and Procedures
The University provides an online training module titled“Sexual Misconduct Training: Understanding Title IX and the University’s Policies & Procedures” to all employees. While any employee is welcome to take the training module, Responsible Employees are required to take the training on an annual basis and will receive instructions to take the training via direct email communications. If you have any questions regarding the training or your responsibilities, feel free to email Tracy Amyx at email@example.com.
Instructions for Accessing Online Module
The course, "Sexual Misconduct Training: Understanding Title IX and the University's Policies and Procedures" is available for self-enrollment through E Training. To enroll in the course, you will need to take the following steps:
- Navigate to the Sexual Misconduct course listing
- Click "Enroll"
- Login to Expand if you have not already done so. You will use your IU credentials to login, or you can take the steps to create a guest account if you do not have IU credentials.
- Click "Enroll in Course"
- Select "Go to Your Dashboard"
- Locate the proper course under "In Progress" then select "Go to Course" to begin
Please note: Employees will need to use their Central Authentication Service (CAS) login to Canavs in order to access the training, which is expected to take about 30 minutes.

For supervisors and faculty including deans, vice chancellors, associate/assistant vice chancellors, and faculty chairs, as well as all administrative council members, plus all student affairs-like staff: Athletics, Advisors, University College, Admissions, Registrar, Bursar, Campus Life, and all new full-time faculty members. This training is an opportunity to learn more about your role in the University’s response to sexual misconduct but does not satisfy the online annual Sexual Misconduct training requirement completed through Canvas.
