The Indiana University East Business Economic Research Center (the BERC), the Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County (the EDC) and the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce (the chamber) have partnered together to research the business climate and related business needs of the county. Together they have prepared a survey that will be open to businesses/companies in Wayne County June 15, 2015 to June 26, 2015.

Results of the survey will not only enhance the knowledge of the local businesses and companies with regard to doing business in Wayne County, but also assist further local and regional economic studies conducted by the BERC, as well as aid the EDC and the chamber for consideration as part of any future strategic planning and economic development efforts to facilitate a healthy business climate in Wayne County.

Responses to the 10-minute survey will be confidential. Business owners and managers will be asked to describe their organization, to provide an opinion on various issues related to business operations and climate in Wayne County, and their expectations for business and economic environments in the county. While the individual responses to the survey will not be shared, results of the research survey will be made public in fall 2015.
