IU East raised $674 for Howl for Haiti!

Howl for Haiti was a fundraising drive held Feb. 1-5 to benefit victims of the recent earthquakes in Haiti. Donations were provided to the American Red Cross.

SGA president Andrew Britt and vice president Devon Niehoff presented a check to the American Red Cross.

“This was the first donation drive I’ve been involved in at IU East. I think it went pretty well,” Britt said. “For the blitz we had, there were a lot of people members who contributed.”

The Indiana University East Alumni Association, the Eastern Indiana Chapter of the IU Alumni Association, and the IU East Campus Bookstore donated a $1 donation for every point the Red Wolves scored against Berea College.

Donations were accepted at the Bear Creek Coffee location in Springwood Hall, the Student Information Center in Whitewater Hall, and in the IU East Campus Library in Hayes Hall. Rufus the Red Wolf also visited offices and campus locations throughout the week, collecting donations.
