Gregg Romans, Aurora, Indiana, is the first full-time faculty member assigned to support Indiana University East’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program in Madison, Indiana.

IU East’s degree in business administration at Madison, offered in partnership with Ivy Tech Community College, originated in 2010. The program focuses on supporting the historical regional manufacturing sector. Students complete the program in 15 months.

Romans, visiting lecturer of business, was formerly the department chair for the Business and Accounting Division at Ivy Tech, Lawrenceburg. An expert in logistics management, Romans has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from Thomas More College. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in strategic management at Sullivan University, located in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to his teaching experience with Ivy Tech, Romans has been an adjunct professor with IU East for the past seven years.

Prior to focusing on education, Romans enjoyed a long career in the steel industry. He served four years of active duty in the United States Air Force and 20 years in the Kentucky Air National Guard. Retired as a senior non-commissioned officer, his career was largely focused on the management of logistics.

IU East Dean for Southeastern IU Program Greg Braxton-Brown said, “We are thrilled to have Gregg join us full-time. He has worked with us for the past seven years adding substantial capacity to our programs. It is rare to find someone with excellent experience in manufacturing and teaching with advanced educational credentials.”
