IU East School of Business and Economics welcomes new faculty member

Indiana University East is pleased to welcome a new faculty member to the School of Business and Economics.

Bret Bogenschneider

Bret Bogenschneider, assistant professor of accounting and taxation, received his Ph.D. in International Business Taxation from Vienna University of Economics and Business in Austria. He also received his Masters of Law in Taxation (LL.M.) from Temple Law School in Philadelphia, his Juris Doctor from Penn Law in Philadelphia and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Philosophy from Knox College in Chicago.

Previously Bogenschneider was the tax director of Mergers and Acquisitions for Clariant Corporation in Switzerland. He has also taught as an adjunct professor of taxation for the City University of New York. He has worked as a tax attorney for more than a decade.

Bogenschneider has published articles for several publications including most recently for the Wake Forest Law Review, Pepperdine Law Review, Harvard Law & Policy Review, Akron Law Review and Elon Law Review. He has presented at the Surrey Law & Philosophy Centre and Creighton Law Review Ethics Symposium among other conferences.
