Indiana University East will celebrate the second year of the “One Book, Many Voices” project when classes begin in August 2013. The project mission is to foster a campus and community discussion about themes and ideas inspired by a common text in an effort to develop camaraderie, inform knowledge, and inspire action towards positive civic engagement and improvement.
The Positive Place Initiative presents “Chew on This,” a series of small group discussions focused on issues and action items collected from the 300 voices at the BOOST—Building On Our Strengths Together—event held at the end of January.
Indiana University East was selected to participate in the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge, an initiative inviting institutions of higher education to commit to interfaith cooperation and community service programming on campus. The initiative is to build understanding among diverse communities and contribute to the common good.
