Continuing Education Course gives lesson in developing a business plan

The Indiana University East Office of Continuing Education in cooperation with the IU East Center for Entrepreneurship will be offering two, three-week sessions of workshops for anyone interested in learning how to write a business plan.

Les Estep, adjunct instructor for Business and Economics and coordinator for the B.O.S.S. program at IU East, is the instructor for the workshops.

While attending the workshop, participants will learn the importance of a business plan and the key elements and data that should be included in each plan. Participants will be given tips on writing styles, suggestions for a professional appearance, and advice on how to begin the process.

Participants can choose to attend the sessions on Tuesday or Saturday over the course of the three weeks. The Saturday sessions will be held 8 a.m. to noon on February 9, February 16 and February 23. The Tuesday sessions will be held 3-7 p.m. on February 26, March 4 and March 11. The workshops will be at the Beeson Clubhouse, located at 1529 South Old Highway 27 in Winchester, Ind.

There is no cost for the first 15 registrants. Five additional participants will be accepted at $100 each. Registration is required.
