IntoSalsa: Lively Arts Series continues with salsa dancing

October 10, 2007 |

A night of salsa dancing will be the next featured 2007-2008 Lively Arts Series event at Indiana University East. IntoSalsa, Latin Dance Troupe will lead audience participants in salsa dances on Monday, October 29 at 7 p.m. in Vivian Auditorium.

The event is free and open to the public.

During this Lively Arts Event, you’ll do more than observe from your seat. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and dance along with the troupe, if interested.

The troupe is from the IntoSalsa Latin Dance Studio located in downtown Indianapolis. Yang Xiao and Erin Lamb founded the dance studio to promote salsa dancing in Central Indiana. Xiao and Lamb have danced together since 2002 and opened their studio in 2005 after growing a significant clientele. They also created the first Salsa dance company in Indianapolis. The studio has also taught thousands of people to dance salsa, co-promotes Latin events and fundraisers for local charities and international events, and performs at prestigious events.

The Lively Arts Series is sponsored by Wayne Bank and Trust Co., Arts Place, the Palladium-Item and the Indiana Arts Commission.
