Liz Ferris, Career and Experiential Learning Coordinator at Indiana University East, has been nominated for the Career Development Professional of the Year Award from Indiana INTERN.net. The award recipient will be announced during the 10th Annual IMPACT Awards luncheon on February 3, 2016, in Indianapolis.

The Annual IMPACT Awards luncheon is sponsored by Ivy Tech Community College and celebrates internship excellence. The event highlights the importance of internships and applauds the individuals who make these experiences meaningful and successful.

Ferris was first appointed as the career and experiential learning coordinator in 2012. Career Services is part of University College.

In her role, Ferris develops and manages career service and experiential learning programs students to help them to prepare for internships, experiential learning opportunities and entering the job market. She also develops community partnerships and works with faculty. She assists IU East and Purdue Polytechnic Richmond students and alumni.

Ferris is a resident of Cambridge City, Ind. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Taylor University and her Master of Science in Management from IU East.
