First Bank Richmond celebrates IU Day with $10,000 match

April 18, 2018 |

First Bank Richmond is celebrating IU Day with a $10,000 matching gift opportunity for alumni and friends of the campus.

First Bank Richmond will match – up to $500 per donor – up to $10,000 in total giving to the IU East campus today.

Now in its third year, IU Day is a 24-hour worldwide celebration of Indiana University – a binge-watching, social-sharing, IU-wearing, gift-giving IU extravaganza. First Bank Richmond has the tradition of celebrating IU Day each year with a matching gift.

In November 2017, First Bank Richmond announced a $375,000 gift to IU East that includes the matching gift for IU Day, plus support for the IU East arts program, Red Wolves’ athletics, scholarships, Campus Life programs and the School of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Additionally, First Bank Richmond previously gave in support of IU East with a contribution to the Student Events and Activities Center. The First Bank Richmond Atrium in the SEC and First Bank Richmond Community Room in Whitewater Hall is named in the bank’s honor.

This is also Campus Campaign week for the university, the annual fundraising initiative among faculty and staff for important programs and scholarships on the IU East campus.

To help kick off Campus Campaign, First Bank Richmond President and CEO Garry Kleer visited IU East to announce the match on April 17.

Gifts can be made at iue.edu/iuday or to the Office of Gift Development at IU East located in Springwood Hall.
