IU East announces Alumni Hall of Fame inductees

The Indiana University East Alumni Association has announced this year’s inductees to the IU East Alumni Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes and celebrates the outstanding alumni of IU East.

Nominated inductees are Don Day, Timothy R. Frame and Regina McConnell.

Don Day, of Connersville, Indiana, received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998. Day is the vice president of Patient Care Services at Fayette Regional Hospital.

Day formerly worked at IU East as the learning lab coordinator for the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. He has also worked with Ball Memorial Hospital, Reid Health and at HonorHealth in Scottsdale, Arizona. Day also attended Grand Canyon University in Arizona where he earned a master’s in nursing (M.S.N.) and doctorate of nursing practice (D.N.P.). He has also served as an adjunct faculty member in the nursing graduate program at Grand Canyon University.

Timothy R. Frame, of Richmond, Indiana, received his associate degree in business administration in 1989 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in management in 1994. Frame is the president/CEO of West End Bank, S.B., and West End Indiana Bancshares, Inc.

In January 2015, Frame was named president/CEO and now oversees 85 employees at four locations in Richmond, Hagerstown and Liberty. In his role, he has general oversight of the bank’s loan portfolio, credit quality, loan yield, portfolio growth and retail operation. He has over 29 years of experience in financial services industry and serves on numerous community boards such as the Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County, Richmond Hospital Authority, Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce, Circle U, United Way and the IU East Board of Advisors.

Regina McConnell, of Henderson, Nevada, was a first-generation college student when she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in 1999 from IU East and her Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis. She established her own family law firm, McConnell Law, Inc., in 2008.

McConnell is recognized in Nevada as one of the top family attorneys. She received the prestigious “AV Preeminent” rating for attorneys by Martindale-Hubbell. She has been recognized by Avvo and Thumbtack with the “Client Choice Award” in 2017, 2016 and 2015.

Inductees to the Hall of Fame are alumni who have typified the IU East tradition of excellence and brought credit to the campus through their personal accomplishments, professional achievement and leadership and humanitarian service and citizenship.

IU East Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized at the Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner on Friday, November 3, at the Student Events and Activities Center.

In addition to celebrating the new inductees to the Alumni Hall of Fame, the Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner will toast Greg Crider, Angie Dickman and Shaun Dingwerth as they are presented the Chancellor’s Medallion.
