IU East Center for Leadership Development offers Management Series workshop Feb. 11

The Indiana University East Center for Leadership Development will host a Management Series workshop on Facilitating Meetings for Results from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, February 11, in the Whitewater Hall Community Room. Registration for the workshop is available online at iue.edu/leadership.

More than 25 million meetings are held every day in the United States with middle managers spending up to 50 percent of their work week in meetings. Yet, up to half of the time spent in meetings is viewed as unproductive. This course offers easy-to-implement tools and techniques to increase the effectiveness of time spent in meetings.

Facilitating Meetings for Results is an experiential course that gives participants the tools they need to achieve intended meeting results. Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Determine when not to have a meeting
  • Distinguish between different types of meeting activities
  • Describe the ingredients of an effective meeting
  • Apply meeting management tools to meetings for which they are responsible

Participants will leave this course with the tools necessary to achieve immediate, dramatic improvement in the meetings for which they are responsible.

The cost for the workshop is $75/ per person or $50 per group of at least three people from the same organization or business.

Visit iue.edu/leadership for more information on content, special pricing and certificate options, and to register for these sessions.

Each three-hour course in the Management Series focuses on key concepts, theories, models, tools, and their applications for effective workplace management. These sessions offer local, affordable, in-depth development of critical management and leadership skills.
