IU East Day at the Wayne County Fair

June 22, 2011 |

Indiana University East invites you to visit the Wayne County Fair this week.  Special events are planned each night from 4-9 p.m. at the IU East booth, located behind the Kuhlman Center.

In celebration of the campus’ 40th anniversary, join us for IU East Day at the Fair on Thursday, June 23. IU East is sponsoring the day at the fair and will occupy the Sponsor of the Day tent that evening. Visitors to the fair will receive IU East giveaways and eligible students could win full-ride scholarships, Red Wolf gear, and more during this special day to celebrate IU East’s history in the Richmond community.

“Celebrating our 40th Anniversary at the Wayne County Fair is a great opportunity to engage the community who has been such a large part of IU East’s success! We look forward to an action-packed evening full of free Red Wolves gear, games, refreshments, and reminiscing about our favorite IU East memories,” said Angela Schultz, assistant director of admissions.

Stop by the IU East tent (No. 71), located behind the Kuhlman Center, to visit and pick up information about the more than 50 academic baccalaureate and master’s degree programs; admissions and enrollment; meet students and staff; and to share in the spirit and history of the campus.

The schedule of events for the rest of the week are:

Wednesday, June 22 – Meet the Pack: Athletics Night at the Fair. Visitors to the IU East tent will meet student-athletes, coaches, and may have a visit from Rufus the Red Wolf.

Thursday, June 23 – IU East Day at the Fair (College Day). Eligible students could win full-ride scholarships, IU East giveaways, and more at the Sponsor of the Day tent.

Friday, June 24 – Transition to College/Red Wolves Night at the Fair. IU East Freshman Student Coach and Counselors are available to answer questions about the transition from high school to college.
