IU East presents scholarships for high school students during Counselors’ Breakfast

Indiana University East distributed scholarships to area high school guidance counselors from Indiana and Ohio during its annual Counselors’ Breakfast held November 2 in Whitewater Hall.

Students shared their IU East experience during the 12th annual Counselors’ Breakfast, including sophomore social work major, Olivia Malott, from New Castle. Malott is a member of the IU East women’s basketball team.

This is the 12th consecutive year that IU East has hosted the Counselors’ Breakfast. Eighty-eight guidance counselors attended. This year’s theme, “Fashion Week,” featured IU East students.

Counselors present received scholarship certificates to give to students in their high schools that meet the academic and admission requirements at IU East. Every guidance counselor received vouchers for eight, four-year scholarships ranging from $7,000 to $30,000 to distribute to qualified high school seniors.
