IU East to honor three Chancellor’s Medallion recipients on Nov. 3

Indiana University East will honor three individuals for their service to the university and within the community during the Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner to be held November 3 at the Student Events and Activities Center on the IU East campus.

Greg Crider

The Chancellor’s Medallion honors individuals who have rendered distinguished service to IU East. Honorees include Greg Crider, Angie Dickman and Shaun Dingwerth.

Chancellor’s Medallion Honorees:

Greg Crider, of New Castle, Indiana, is an attorney and managing partner of Hayes Copenhaver Crider Harvey, LLP, in New Castle. Crider is a member of the IU East Board of Advisors.

He has previously been involved in several community organizations including past president of the Henry County Humane Society, president of the Danielson Education Council, Henry County Hospital Foundation, New Castle-Henry County Public Library and Henry County Heart Society. He has also actively served on the boards of the New Castle Y.M.C.A., Henry County Community Foundation and the I.S.B.A. Trust and Estate Specialty Board. He was also the varsity boys soccer head coach at New Castle High School from 1998-2005.

Angie Dickman

Angie Dickman, of Richmond, Indiana, is vice president at Reid Health. She oversees many areas at Reid Health including Information Systems, Business Development, Reid Physician-Hospital Organization, Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy, Physician Liaison and Outreach, Retail Services and Regional Market Strategic Planning. In the community, Dickman serves as chair of the IU East Board of Advisors and she is a board member and resource development chair for Community in Schools.

Dickman is a past board chair of the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce and has also served Birth-To-Five, Richmond-Wayne County Life Sciences Task Force, Tri-Kappa women’s service organization, Wayne County Economic Development Corporation, Seton Catholic School, Earlham College Community Partnership Council and the United Way Annual Campaign.

Shaun Dingwerth, of Richmond, Indiana, is the executive director at the Richmond Art Museum. Dingwerth serves on the IU East Campus Art Advisory Board and is a founding member of Palette to Palate, a new collaborative fundraising event between the Richmond Art Museum and IU East.

Dingwerth serves on the board of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, West End Bank, Richmond-Wayne County Convention & Tourism Bureau, Richmond Neighborhood Restoration, Inc. and is the facilitator for the Wayne County Cultural Alliance and Arts Fusion. He is frequently asked to juror at area art exhibitions across Indiana and Ohio. Dingwerth is also the author of “The Richmond Group Artists,” published by Indiana University Press in May 2014.

During the event, IU East will also recognize three special alumni. Don Day, Timothy Frame and Regina McConnell will be inducted in recognition and celebration as outstanding alumni of IU East.

Inductees to the Hall of Fame are alumni who have typified the IU East tradition of excellence and brought credit to the campus through their personal accomplishments, professional achievement and leadership and humanitarian service and citizenship.
