Indiana University East’s Master of Science in Management program within the School of Business and Economics welcomes applications for its third cohort to begin August 2013. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis with priority given to applications received prior to July 1.

The first M.S.M. cohort will graduate this spring during the IU East Commencement Ceremony on May 10.

The M.S.M. is a 15-month weekend program designed for employed professionals seeking a graduate-level business degree. This graduate degree provides a highly interactive learning environment that includes analysis, communication, leadership, and innovative thinking. The learning outcomes are designed to help individuals sharpen their entrepreneurial and leadership skills to take their careers to the next level. This will be accomplished through focused self-assessment, project-based learning and peer interaction.

“The M.S.M. cohort program at IU East arrived at the perfect time in my career. I have found the cohort model to be very beneficial to my personal and professional development. The relationships that are formed during this 15-month program will last a lifetime,” said Rocky Vecera of Richmond. Vecera is a warehouse manager for Dot Foods, Inc.

“My class work has really helped me look at my professional life differently. I am fascinated with how much there is to learn and how complex leadership can be, when handled properly. I am able to more fully understand why upper management handles various situations in the ways they do,” said Kelly Clark of Richmond. Clark is a senior B2B specialist for Wolverine Worldwide, Inc.

The IU East master’s in management is designed for individuals who performed well academically in a wide range of degrees at the undergraduate level. Applicants should have at least two years of work experience in either a management position or position leading to management.
