MEDIA ADVISORY: IU East Tom Raper Hall Naming Ceremony

WHAT: The official naming ceremony for the Indiana University East Tom Raper Hall. The naming ceremony honors the contribution of Tom Raper, former Richmond businessman. Middlefork Hall will be renamed in recognition of Raper’s commitment of $2.17 million to support the campus. The gift is the largest in IU East’s history.

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at 4 p.m. A reception will follow the ceremony.

WHO: IU President Michael A. McRobbie and IU East Chancellor Nasser H. Paydar will deliver remarks. 

WHERE: Indiana University East, 2325 Chester Blvd., Richmond, IN.  The event will take place outdoors in front of Tom Raper Hall.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Parking is available in Tom Raper Hall and Whitewater Hall parking lots. Whitewater Community Television (WCTV) will broadcast the ceremony live on Channel 20.
