Student Research Day award winners

Indiana University East held its first virtual Student Research Day on April 10. The annual event features the work of on-campus and online undergraduate students and for the campus to celebrate their achievements.

With classes all-online Student Research Day presentations were held on Zoom throughout the day. The keynote address by Cassidy Clouse, B.S. ’19, and awards presentation was held on Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/events/263425911353052/. Clouse is currently at the IU McKinney School of Law and is the 2019 Kennedy Law Scholar.

Student presentations included independent scholarship from courses, independent studies, summer research programs, Honors Program projects and creative endeavors. The annual Student Showcase included works of art from students in the 2018 summer and fall semesters, 2019 spring semester, and Senior Capstone exhibits. Merit monetary awards are given annually through the sponsorship of Stagg Safety of Richmond, Robert Warfel, president.

Award winners received $100 for first place, $75 for second, $50 for third and runners-up $25. Funding provided for by the Office of Academic Affairs. Winners this year were:
