Upcoming IU East Center for Leadership Development Power Lunch Series talks about Play

October 10, 2014 |

The Indiana University East Center for Leadership Development is hosting a Power Lunch Series for Next Generation Leaders on “Play!” from 12:10-12:50 p.m. on Friday, October 17. Sessions for this series are located at IU East’s Room 912, 912 E. Main Street in Richmond.

Play! Everyone needs a little play in one’s life. Play helps keep our lives balanced and fulfilled.

Marcy Jance, associate professor of business administration, and Denice Williams, lecturer in early childhood and literacy education, present “Play: How to Integrate Play into Our Work and Personal Lives.”

A delicious lunch, time for networking, and a professional development activity will be included in the session.

The dynamic Power Lunch Series is for next-generation leaders to meet once a month at the IU East and Richmond Art Museum’s downtown Room 912 art scene. Come and eat a fabulous farm-to-table lunch, and participate in dynamic 40-minute micro-sessions: Work, Live, Play, Love, Create, and Give.

The Power Lunch Series is part of the IU East Center for Leadership Development’s new “Work/Life Integration Series,” a program that recognizes that development does not stop at the office door and provides offerings that nurture both personal and professional development.

Participants will receive a farm-to-table lunch and participate in a dynamic 40-minute micro-session. There is no charge for these sessions; they are underwritten by the School of Business and Economics.

Registration is required; RSVP at iue.edu/leadership. The full schedule is available online.

The Center for Leadership Development is sponsored by the IU East School of Business and Economics. The center focuses on enhancing the managerial and leadership capacities within the IU East service region.
