Entire month of October - Stop by the resource table in Whitewater Hall Lobby and pin a ribbon to symbolize survivors and victims of dating and domestic violence.

Collection Box

Entire month of October - Donations for A Better Way for Genesis will be collected throughout the month. The collection box and wish list can be found at the domestic violence resource table in Whitewater Hall Lobby.

Wear a PURPLE ribbon every day in October in support of survivors and victims of dating and domestic violence. Grab your ribbon in Campus Life or the Office of Student Success.

Social Media Campaign

Entire month of October - Learn more about dating and domestic violence, as well as campus, community and national resource information by following @IUEastTitleIX on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

It's On Us Pledge Drive

October 18, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. RW Lobby and WZ Lobby 2-4 p.m. - Take the It’s On Us Pledge, receive a free t-shirt, and commit to being a catalyst for change.

Green Dot Bystander Intervention Workshop

October 19, 1-4 p.m. First Bank Richmond Community Room - The Green Dot strategy educates and empowers students, staff and faculty to create a community where violence is not tolerated and everyone plays a part in creating a culture of respect. Email trramyx@iue.edu to register.

It's On Us T-Shirt Day

October 20, 10 a.m., Quad - Wear your It’s On Us t-shirt all day and join us on the Quad for a group photo.

The Clothesline Project

T-shirt Decorating - October 11 & 14, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., WZ Lobby - Use your voice to share your story or support survivors by decorating a t-shirt that will be displayed on the Clothesline Project.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

October 27, 4 p.m., IU East Quad - For the benefit of A Better Way for Genesis. Participants will walk one mile in women’s high-heeled shoes to raise awareness about rape, sexual assault and gender violence. Allies are encouraged to walk for ALL victims of sexualized violence.
