The Gallery located at Indiana University East is one of the premier visual arts centers for Wayne and surrounding counties. All exhibits are free and open to the public. The Gallery features continually changing exhibits with nine shows a year. At The Gallery, you can:
- See exhibitions by local, regional, national, and international artists, as well as young artists from area schools
- Attend lectures
- Meet renowned artists
- Purchase artwork

Sentience: Apprehending the External July 7 - August 8
The Whitewater Valley Artists Consortium began as a small group of professional artists who met at a party and started talking "art". They provide a myriad of support for the purposes of resource sharing, idea exchanges, critiquing, technique enhancement. Their show provides an interesting look at various mediums such as painting, photography, design, ceramics, sculpture, woodworking, and stained glass. Members include: Walt Bistline, Antoine de Villers, Julia Jensen, Lynn Johnson, Diane Lebo, Palline Plum, Carvin Rinehart, Carol Sexton, Larry Sexton, Dan Sims, Susanna Tanner, Michele Walker, and Jeanette Wilson.
A reception will be held on July 9, 2008 at 7 p.m. in The Gallery in Whitewater Hall.
